The AMD Radeon RX 7600 is the company's RDNA 3 entry-level offering with 8 GB of VRAM and a 128-bit memory bus. In Path of Exile 2, the RX 7600 has a unique advantage: Vulkan performance on RDNA 3 is approximately 18% faster than DX12, a wider gap than on comparable Nvidia cards. This makes renderer choice the single most important decision for RX 7600 owners. With the right config, 100+ FPS at 1080p is well within reach.

RX 7600-Specific In-Game Settings
- Renderer: Vulkan. This is non-negotiable for RDNA 3. Our testing shows Vulkan delivers ~18% higher average FPS and ~25% better 1% lows compared to DX12 on the RX 7600 at 1080p. RDNA 3's shader compiler is significantly more efficient under Vulkan.
- FSR: Quality. AMD's FSR upscaler works well in PoE2. At 1080p, FSR Quality renders at 1280x720 and upscales with minimal quality loss. FSR Balanced is an option for extra headroom but introduces minor shimmer on particle effects.
- Global Illumination: Low. GI is expensive on all GPUs, and the RX 7600 is no exception. Disabling GI reclaims ~3.5 ms of frame time.
- Texture Streaming: High with cache 1024. The 8 GB VRAM buffer handles
streaming_cache_pool_size=1024without issue. Avoid Ultra textures — the 128-bit memory bus becomes a bottleneck at higher resolutions. - Shadow Quality: Low. The 128-bit memory bus on the RX 7600 means shadow rendering is bandwidth-constrained. Low shadows significantly reduce memory pressure.
- Lighting Quality: Medium. RDNA 3 handles medium lighting well. The compute unit layout favors this workload.
- FPS Limit: 100 or 144. Match to your monitor. If you have a 144 Hz display, the RX 7600 can hit 144 FPS in campaign areas but will settle at 90-100 in dense maps. A 100 FPS cap provides consistent frame pacing.

Benchmark: RX 7600 in 0.5.0
Tested at 1080p, juiced T16 map with Delirium + Beyond + Breach:
- Stock DX12 settings: 59 FPS avg, 38 FPS 1% low
- Vulkan + our config: 97 FPS avg (+64%), 77 FPS 1% low (+103%)
The Vulkan uplift on RDNA 3 is dramatic. Simply switching from DX12 to Vulkan with no other changes yields ~15-18% higher FPS. Combined with FSR Quality and the aggressive but smart settings above, the RX 7600 goes from a sub-60 FPS experience to a smooth 100 FPS locked in most content.
